I’ll never understand why publishers wait until the end of summer holiday to release their best and longest games. Here’s a tauntingly big list of this weeks game releases. The most popular titles are Batman: Arkham Asylum on Xbox 360 & PS3, Metroid Prime: Trilogy – Collector’s Edition on Wii, Professor Layton and the Diabolical Box DS, Dissidia: Final Fantasy on PSP, Wolfenstein on PC, Harvest Moon: Frantic Farming on DS, Warriors Orochi 2 on PSP, and Cursed Mountain on Wii. On the Downloadable games front we’ve got today’s Wii Shop and DSiWare titles Super Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back, Mr. Driller W, Pop Plus Solo, as well as Raven Squad on Steam (updates Tuesday), CivCity Rome on GameTap Gold (updates Thursday). No word yet on any Xbox Live Arcade games (updates Wednesday) nor Playstation Network games (updates Thursday).
